Obama and Tweeting

This is funny.

Anders Behring Breivik: YouTube Video

I think it's clear that Anders Behring Breivik planned to be famous.

It's as if he wanted all the details of his barbaric attacks to be documented and available to people in preparation for Breivik: The Movie.

Breivik didn't just have notebooks filled with his scrawling. He posted his deranged plans on the Internet. He released a video on YouTube.

Watch the 12-minute video:

The video, which promotes fighting against Islam, shows Anders Behring Breivik wearing a wetsuit and holding an automatic weapon.

The pictures appear at the end of the video called "Knights Templar 2083".

From the Wall Street Journal:
A couple of hours before the devastating bomb blast in Norway's capital, terror suspect Anders Behring Breivik released a video on YouTube where he calls for conservatives to "embrace martyrdom."

TV2 said sources within Norway's police confirmed the video was uploaded by Mr. Breivik, who was charged Saturday for the bombing and shootings in Norway's capital and a nearby island Friday that left at least 92 people dead.

The video was uploaded by a user called AndrewBerwick on YouTube, hours before the bomb in the centre of Oslo went off, TV2 said. It calls for conservatives to "embrace martyrdom."

"[If] the multiculturalist elites of Europe continue to refuse to voluntarily transfer political and military power to our conservative revolutionary forces ... then [the second world war] is likely going to appear as a picnic compared to the coming carnage," the video stated in captions.

Signed also by an AndrewBerwick, an English translation of the name Anders Breivik, was a manifest called "2083 - A European Declaration of Independence" on the site www.freak.no. The manifest is 1,500 page description on Mr. Breivik's background and political viewpoints.

Breivik seems like an Osama bin Laden wannabe, "embrace martyrdom."

So why didn't Breivik take his own life?

He wants to witness the attention being heaped on him. He's a star.

Sky News has some excerpts from Breivik's 1,500-page manifesto
.
A 1,500 page document has appeared on the internet which is believed to be written by 32-year-old Anders Behring Breivik.

It describes his mindset and preparations in the 95 days before the attack and claims he has been planning the acts since 2009.

The gunman's document reveals his dislike for what he sees as a growing influence of muslims in Europe.

It reads: Wednesday May 4 - Day 3: Finished creating the metal skeletons for the blast devices and completing other practical issues relating to gear and equipment.

Saturday June 11 - Day 41 I prayed for the first time in a very long time today. I explained to God that unless he wanted the Marxist-Islamic alliance and certain Islamic Takeover of Europe...he must ensure that the warriors fighting for the preservation of European Christendom prevail.

Friday July 22 - Day 82: Initiate blasting sequences at pre-determined sites... have enough material for 20 blasts... I believe this will be my last entry. It is now Friday July 22nd 12.51pm.

He says that being arrested was part of his plan - he wants notoriety.

Defence lawyer Geir Lippestad told Norway's NRK television channel that Breivik had "admitted responsibility" and "confessed to the factual circumstances".

"He explained that it was cruel but that he had to go through with these acts," Mr Lippestad said, adding the carnage was "long planned".

Breivik is getting exactly what he wants - fame.

It's as if he's proud of the slaughter.

Is Breivik mentally ill or is he pure evil?

Barbara Lyons Open Letter

Barbara Lyons and Wisconsin Right to Life have been criticized recently by some calling themselves pro-life.

Some of the attacks stem from a debate Lyons participated in on Wisconsin Public Radio.

Today, Lyons responds to the attacks with an open letter:

Barbara Lyons Comments on Personal Attacks Against Her and Wisconsin Right to Life

AN OPEN LETTER FROM BARBARA LYONS -- JULY 5, 2011

Organizations, bloggers and email commentators who say they are pro-life have recently attacked Wisconsin Right to Life and me, personally, for comments made on Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR) on May 25, 2011 while debating a representative of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin (PPWI) on a statewide program.

As everyone knows, Planned Parenthood is an abortion giant both nationally and here in Wisconsin. The Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) receives hundreds of millions of federal and state taxpayer dollars each year. PPWI receives millions.

That is why Wisconsin Right to Life has been at the forefront of defunding Planned Parenthood at both the national and state levels. In fact, Wisconsin Right to Life is the organization most responsible for the recent partial defunding of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin in the recently signed Wisconsin state budget. On behalf of Wisconsin Right to Life, I have had numerous op ed pieces exposing Planned Parenthood published in newspapers all over the state.

So, why would I and Wisconsin Right to Life be under attack from people who are supposed to be on our side? During the course of the WPR program, Planned Parenthood tried to “sell” the idea that PPWI is a health care provider and women would suffer if PPWI doesn’t receive your taxpayer dollars. I goaded PPWI relentlessly to expose their real agenda which is abortion. I repeatedly said that if PPWI would give up performing abortions, they would be able to provide health care without controversy. The goal was to inform the audience that PPWI can choose between health care and abortion, which it will never do. Interestingly, on a recent Mike Huckabee national television show, Lila Rose of Live Action pretty much said the same thing I did to goad and expose Planned Parenthood.

Now, those organizations, bloggers and email commentators who say they are pro-life are sending out emails and blogs claiming that Wisconsin Right to Life and I are “soft” on Planned Parenthood, using the WPR debate to “prove” their claim. How disturbing that a pro-life person debating the real enemy, Planned Parenthood, is subjected to a “gotcha” mentality from people and organizations who are supposed to be on the same side.

Right-to-life people are tired of ambushes and criticism within our own ranks as they demean the great cause for which many in Wisconsin Right to Life have devoted their lives. It is my sincere hope and prayer that this open letter will cause these internal attacks to cease. Thank you for listening.

While I think it's always important for groups and individuals to hold organizations accountable, give feedback, and share concerns, the notion that WRTL is soft on Planned Parenthood is silly.

It's extremely unfortunate that WRTL finds it necessary to expend energy responding to attacks from people claiming to be pro-life proponents.

Mayfair: Facebook Fight

Mayfair Mall has not been having a very good June.

Earlier this week, there was the story of the teen thug pulling a gun on a couple in the Mayfair parking lot at around 2:00 in the afternoon.

Now, we hear about a violent fight that took place at the mall last week.

From WauwatosaNOW:

A fight between two 23-year-old Milwaukee women at Mayfair last week resulted in hair scattered on the floor, nearly two dozen punches thrown and a bleeding eye, according to a Wauwatosa police report.

Also from the report:

One of the women was shopping at Journeys shoe store when the second entered, yelling about Facebook, at 6:32 p.m. June 22.

She pulled the first woman out of the store by her hair and punched her repeatedly, resulting in an eye injury.

Security guards arrived and pulled them apart.

Both women were arrested for disorderly conduct and the district attorney is expected to issue charges this week.

This wasn't a minor disagreement playing out in public.

This was a scary, violent incident.

There's nothing wrong with Mayfair.

There is quite a bit wrong with some of its patrons.

This handful of bad people may serve to keep many good people away from Mayfair.

Tom Petty, Michele Bachmann, 'American Girl'

Tom Petty doesn't want Michele Bachmann's campaign using his song, "American Girl."

From Reuters:

On Monday, Bachmann officially announced her candidacy for U.S. president. She left the stage as Petty's "American Girl" blared over the loudspeaker. Uh-oh.

Petty's camp is unhappy with Bachmann's choice of exit music and will ask the campaign not to use the song, according to an NBC News report. (Petty's manager was not immediately available for comment, an employee said.)

Petty previously sent George W. Bush a cease-and-desist letter over his presidential campaign's use of the song, "I Won't Back Down." Bush backed down, of course. But the former president is not alone.

In the past couple of years, musicians have enjoyed great success in getting politicians to see the error of their ways.

After the 2008 campaign, John McCain was forced to make an apology to Jackson Browne to settle a lawsuit over the use of his song, "Running on Empty." A few months after that, California senatorial candidate Chuck DeVore went on bended knee to settle claims made by Don Henley over use of the songs "Boys of Summer" and "All She Wants to Do is Dance."

...A dispute over music played at a campaign event, like the developing Petty vs. Bachmann sued, is an entirely new legal debate. Arguably, so long as a campaign purchases a license from the performance rights organization ASCAP, it should stand on solid ground. On the other hand, Petty could still claim that such music constituted an implied endorsement of the Republican candidate.

More, from the Los Angeles Times:

The Traveling Wilbury and Grammy winner isn't 100% stingy with permission. Petty gave Hillary Rodham Clinton the thumbs up to use "American Girl" throughout her campaign in 2008.

Petty doesn't want Bachmann using his song, cease and desist.

It's his song. That's his right.

However, assuming Bachmann's campaign purchased a license for performance rights from ASCAP, Bachmann didn't do anything wrong.

It's easier for Bachmann to drop the song than to fight it.

Another performer is complaining about a Republican using his or her music. So what else is new?

What I find really out of line in all of this is the response by the Washington Post on Facebook:

Tom Petty wants Michele Bachmann to stop using "American Girl" for her campaign music. What song should Bachmann use instead? http://wapo.st/jeZB0q

What an irresponsible and petty thing to do!

This was a direct invitation by the Post to its Facebook followers to mock Bachmann and her supporters.

Naturally, the Leftists eagerly obliged.

Some examples:

Dan Kriwitsky - ‎"Fly Me To The Moon" OK geeks, you can quote Kahn from Star Trek now.

Suzanne Wolf - Buecker Nah, Jacovich. Bad selection. I don't see that at all. You seem to be confused or misled...not unlike Bachmann herself.

Barbara Arendt - The lady's a tramp

Natasha Jordan - Whaaaa whaaa whaaa @Rosemary.... if she does not like this post or newspaper, why comment on it? DE FRIEND and move on to whatever it is that you do. Just don't come crying back here when the truth gets out about the crazy loon job she real...See More

Yerffej Nala Muioh - Just some spooky halloween music, ghosts, howling wind, ominous music, creaking door.

Jonay Bell - The three stooges?

Dave Logan - If she wants a Petty song, how about "Breakdown" or "Don't Come Around Here No More" as options?

Andy Heaton - The closest thing to "American Girl" is "American Boy." I'm sure her Tea Party supporters will like it.

Rush Storz - Crazy Bitch.

Gerry Cooney - I wouldn't want my name associated with a jackass like her either :)

Doug Traer - ‎"Crazy" (CeeLo and Patsy Kline) "American Idiot" "Fool on the Hill" "If I only Had a Brain" "Stupid Girl" "Creep" "Bitch" "Bitch is Back"

Jane Clavin - american psycho..........lol; someone write it!

Thomas L DeGroat - The opening looney tunes theme comes to mind

Jaynie Britton Richardson - ‎"If I Only Had A Brain".

Ellen Shapiro - I fought the law and the law won?

Denis Kaufman - I'm with Ann Lyons, "Don't Know Much About History."

Dameun Strange - How about 'Bat Outta Hell'

Karen Dowler-Ponciano - ‎"Stupid Girls" by Pink

Very nice.

The Washington Post harnesses its Internet community to belittle and smear a political opponent, encouraging Facebook users to demean Bachmann.

This is such typical liberal crap.

Tracy Morgan: Anti-Gay Rant Apology (Video)

Tracy Morgan is still apologizing for anti-gay remarks he made during a performance in Nashville on June 3rd.

Read an account of Morgan's rant here.

Some people at Morgan's show enjoyed his "comedic take." A few people walked out. It wasn't until word of Morgan's performance spread via the Internet that his comments became a major problem for him.

Yesterday, Morgan returned to Nashville to apologize. He met with members of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) and Kevin Rogers, the man who shared Morgan's offensive remarks via a Facebook post.

Associated Press video:

CNN video of Morgan's apology:

Morgan certainly seems sincere. He understands that he offended people with what he said.

He's taking responsibility for the words he said on stage. I believe he realizes that he really hurt people and he's deeply sorry.

Could it be that Morgan is just doing this apology tour because it's a smart career move?

Sure.

But I don't think that's what's going on here. Watching him speak and listening to his apology, I believe that what he said was heartfelt.

He's not that good of an actor to pull off a fake apology.

Morgan's high profile experience may prompt others to reflect on their own unkind words and realize the pain they cause.

Hopefully, Morgan isn't the only one who's learned a lesson.

Chris Liebenthal: Suspended

Finally, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporter, union member and "willing partner" Dan Bice has provided his readers with information on public employee Chris Liebenthal's abuses on the job.

Bice writes:

Lefty blogger Chris Liebenthal was suspended for 10 days without pay earlier this year for using his county computer for personal purposes, recently obtained records show.

"It is clear that Mr. Liebenthal blatantly violated the Use of Technology Policy over the course of a year on numerous occasions and was in violation of the above Civil Service rules," wrote Geri Lyday, interim director of the Department of Health and Human Services, earlier this year.

The suspension cost Liebenthal - a social worker and official with the county employees union - $2,051 in county pay, said Mark Stein, an interim department administrator.

Bice doesn't tell his readers that "Lefty blogger Chris Liebenthal" is more than just an anti-Scott Walker crusader.

Bice doesn't mention the fact that Chris "Capper" Liebenthal is the author of Whallah! It's a despicable blog, founded on cruelty and harassment.

Tax dollars at work!

Bice continues:

Liebenthal became the target of allies of then-County Executive Scott Walker, now the governor, after a Walker aide resigned in May 2010 for doing political activity during work hours.

Citizens for Responsible Government, a pro-Walker outfit, urged investigators to decide whether Liebenthal, a county worker, had been using his taxpayer-funded computer to post on any of his various blogs.

After seizing his work computer, prosecutors found last year he had engaged in political activity at work but decided not to file charges, saying it was more of a personnel issue.

Earlier this year, Lyday concluded that Liebenthal - who goes by the name Capper in his anti-Walker blogs - had broken two rules, one for wasting time at work and the other for doing personal activities during the workday. The original recommendation was for a 15-day suspension.

Lyday said she found no evidence that the blogger had used county equipment to post on his blogs.

"Mr. Liebenthal acknowledged that he did use his County computer for personal use but that all activity has ceased," Lyday wrote.

In March, Liebenthal agreed not to fight the matter and to affirm that "the charges are well founded" in exchange for the suspension being dropped to 10 days, according to records obtained by No Quarter.

Bice makes it sound like Liebenthal was a victim.

"Liebenthal became the target of allies of then-County Executive Scott Walker, now the governor, after a Walker aide resigned in May 2010 for doing political activity during work hours."

Poor "Capper" became a target.

Why doesn't Bice put the emphasis on the fact that taxpayer employee Liebenthal "blatantly violated the Use of Technology Policy over the course of a year on numerous occasions and was in violation of the above Civil Service rules," rather than paint him as the victim of a political witch hunt?

Also, why did it take so long for Bice to get around to sharing the story of Liebenthal's suspension with his readers? Why did he provide that cover for Liebenthal? The timing of the revelations is strange.

Moreover, Bice doesn't acknowledge that he targeted Darlene Wink, a Scott Walker staffer at the time. He doesn't highlight his personal role in outing Wink and his significant role in her eventual resignation. That's a major omission.

I think it's interesting that the investigation into Liebenthal's online political activity being funded by taxpayers only took into account what he did last year.

Are we to believe that Liebenthal hadn't been engaging in this inappropriate activity for significantly longer?

I suspect the taxpayers have been funding public employee, union member, Democrat Liebenthal's "wasting time at work" for years.

And Liebenthal is still on the job.

Weiner: Private Messages 17-Year-Old Girl

Just when I thought the Anthony Weiner scandal couldn't get any creepier, it does.

He PRIVATE messaged a 17-year-old Delaware high school girl, FIVE times.

Is Weiner a Roman Polanski wannabe?

From the New York Times:

Representative Anthony D. Weiner said on Friday that he exchanged at least five private messages on Twitter this spring with a 17-year-old Delaware girl who became an admirer of his after hearing him speak during a high school trip to Washington.

Mr. Weiner’s spokeswoman, Risa Heller, did not provide copies of the messages, but said they were not inappropriate.

“According to Congressman Weiner, his communications with this person were neither explicit nor indecent,” Ms. Heller said.

A member of the girl’s family who spoke on the condition of anonymity to protect her identity characterized the messages as “harmless” but expressed concern that Mr. Weiner had communicated privately with the teenager, a high school junior.

The family was aware that there had been exchanges between Mr. Weiner and the girl but assumed that all of their conversations had taken place on a public Twitter feed.

What was DEMOCRAT Weiner thinking?

It doesn't look good for a congressman to be sending direct messages to a 17-year-old girl on Twitter.

...The family member said: “I am angry. This is surreal and unbelievable. It is absolutely crazy. We are just regular people who go to baseball games and basketball games, as ordinary and plain as can be.”

In the past few days, the girl and her family have become subjects of intense interest in the news media. On Friday, the local police arrived at their home and asked the girl and her mother to bring the girl’s phone and computer to the police station so they could be checked to make sure no crime had occurred.

The family member said the family complied, and did not expect any further action to be taken.

The girl’s contact with Mr. Weiner started in early April, after her trip to Washington. The congressman spoke to her school group, and she began following him on Twitter, posting a public message saying how much she liked his speech.

Two days later, Mr. Weiner began following her on Twitter. On her profile, she says she aspires to be president. In a private message he sent to her, he said: “How hip am I talking to a future president.”

It appears that DEMOCRAT Weiner initiated the private messaging.

Oh, my God.

Delighted that she had heard directly from a congressman, the girl wrote a public post on her Twitter feed: “talking to Rep Weiner from New York right now! is my life real?”

At the time, a group of conservatives was monitoring Mr. Weiner’s Twitter activity, after noticing that he was sending messages to a pornographic star from Tennessee.

When members of the group saw the girl’s post, suggesting she was engaging in a private conversation with Mr. Weiner, they alerted the congressman that they were watching him. “@RepWeiner new pal is a high school girl. First porn actresses now little girls. Weird.”

According to the girl’s family member, people in the group also copied the girl on some of the messages they sent to him, so she sent Mr. Weiner a private message telling him that she felt she was being harassed. He apologized to her in a private message, and removed her from the list of people he followed on Twitter.

About a month later, Mr. Weiner sent out a public message saying he wanted to attract more followers on Twitter and offered to follow people on his account if they wanted him to.

The girl responded to the appeal and posted a public message to him: “Don’t forget me. I used to follow you.” On May 16, he began following the girl again, and over the next 10 days they had three private message exchanges, the family member said.

One was about baseball. In another, he replied to a question she had about legislation by jokingly asking for her advice, the family member said. His third message to her was in response to a link she posted to a YouTube video of his giving a speech, with the message: “My true love.”

In a blog post on Tumblr, she later shared the contents of that private message from him. In it, Mr. Weiner appeared to liken himself to a superhero.

“I came back strong,” he wrote. “Large. Tights and cape. ...”

On the Tumblr blog post she added, “My favorite Congressman.”

Obviously, the messages are open to interpretation.

They're not sexually explicit, but they are weird. Based on DEMOCRAT Weiner's other online exchanges, his description of himself as "strong" and "large" and with "tights and cape" is very creepy. His comments are flirtatious.

Was the girl unwittingly helping DEMOCRAT Weiner "enjoy himself"?

Yuck.

DEMOCRAT Weiner should not have been playing games on Twitter with a kid. Would he have written the same stuff to her on his public Twitter feed?

I really think the involvement of a 17-year-old girl and DEMOCRAT Weiner private messaging with her about being large and like a superhero crosses the line.

Democrats, your colleague needs to resign.

DEMOCRAT Weiner has done enough damage. It's a mistake for his party to continue to defend him.

I am so creeped out.

Why are the Democrats giving the Republicans this gift?

Video.

Here's more on the superhero message, from The Smoking Gun:
In private Twitter messages last month to a Delaware high school student, Weiner told of butting heads with Republican congressional opponents. Describing how he returned fire at his political foes, Weiner told the 17-year-old girl, “I came back strong. Large. In charge. Tights and cape sh--.”

The girl shared Weiner’s tweets with acquaintances and posted his tights/capes quote on her Tumblr blog, along with the notation, “My favorite congressman <3.”

Clearly, Weiner did not conduct himself like an authority figure or a role model with this high school kid.

"Tights and cape sh--"?

Bad language.

Bad imagery.

All-around bad stuff.

INAPPROPRIATE!

Breitbart: Weiner Photo Leak

How did the graphic naked photo of Anthony Weiner, the one that makes the original gray underwear shot appear suitable for the family Christmas card, get out?

Weiner: Then and Now

DEMOCRAT Anthony Weiner, June 1, 2011:

DEMOCRAT Anthony Weiner, June 6, 2011:

Backed into a corner, DEMOCRAT Weiner acted like a different man.

Yes, DEMOCRAT Anthony Weiner, it's you.

I think DEMOCRAT Weiner never intended to come clean. He was forced to tell the truth.

DEMOCRAT Weiner's emotion at his press conference had more to do with the embarrassment of getting caught than with sincere remorse. Moreover, I think he knew he had to appear to be completely distraught if he's to have any chance of surviving the scandal.

Sympathy from the public is his only hope.

The guy is a liar. He can't be trusted. He has terrible judgment. He's a congressman, not a high school kid caught up in a sexting mess.

If he wants to spare his family pain, DEMOCRAT Weiner should bow out of office now and just go away until CNN or MSNBC offer him a show.

Andrew Breitbart and Anthony Weiner

Before DEMOCRAT Anthony Weiner's painful press conference to make his admission that he was a liar and sent lewd photos of himself to women on the Internet, Andrew Breitbart was questioned by members of the press.

Politico writes:

Andrew Breitbart takes over Anthony Weiner news conference

In a bizarre spectacle, Andrew Breitbart temporarily took over the press conference in New York that was supposed to feature Rep. Anthony Weiner Monday, declaring that everything he’s posted on his conservative Web site BigGovernment.com has proven to be true.

Weiner was supposed to come to the microphones at 4 p.m. but Breitbart commandeered the podium instead, criticizing the media’s coverage of the Weiner scandal and saying he had been “vindicated” even before the congressman spoke.

The strange collision of worlds at the Sheraton New York happened shortly before 4 p.m., after the blogger drifted into the third floor ballroom where Weiner had, just over an hour earlier, alerted reporters that he would address the mushrooming photo scandal.

Breitbart initially stood quietly, holding his iPad at the side of the over-airconditioned ballroom, at a hotel that political parties in the state typically use for events. He had just arrived from North Carolina, he said, to conduct a string of in-house network interviews about his latest postings - including a shirtless picture of a seated Weiner received by a woman in Texas.

He had heard about the press conference when his cell phone started buzzing, and strolled over from his hotel nearby. His phone rang, and he took the call. “Hey, I’m here right now, this is crazy,” he said to the caller.

Breitbart went unnoticed by the huge media throng until a POLITICO and New York Observer reporter approached him, and tweeted about it. Word spread that he was on the premises, and the cameramen quickly rushed over, surrounding him by a side door.

Weiner had yet to arrive.

“Andrew, would you go to the podium?” WCBS reporter Marcia Kramer, who just days earlier was threatened with arrest when she staked out Weiner’s congressional office in Washington, asked.

After a few requests, he agreed. Breitbart questioned whether Weiner was paying to rent the ballroom, and said it was perhaps not wrong to take the podium in that case. But he went up anyway.

Breitbart didn't take over DEMOCRAT Weiner's press conference.

Weiner wasn't at the podium. Members of the press requested that Breitbart answer some questions.

It's not as if he hijacked DEMOCRAT Weiner's moment in the spotlight.

The liberal media really seem to have problems with Breitbart. That's probably because he breaks stories they do their best to ignore. Of course, the Leftists can't stand him. They can't handle the truth being exposed by Breitbart.

I think the Leftist media are going to have to start doing their jobs rather than acting as propagandists or they'll continue to look like utter fools.

Thanks, Andrew Breitbart, for giving the American public the truth.

Here's Breitbart being grilled by the press:

Breitbart is here to stay. Deal with it, Leftists.

Sean Hannity talks to Andrew Breitbart.

Anthony Weiner, DEMOCRAT: Resign

The cover-up is over.

DEMOCRAT Anthony Weiner admits that he's a liar.

DEMOCRAT Weiner was NOT the victim of a hoax or a prank, as he claimed. His Facebook account and Twitter account and whatever were not hacked.

DEMOCRAT Weiner lied about it all.

Here's video of his news conference, via Breitbart:

DEMOCRAT WEINER has finally come clean. The married DEMOCRAT Weiner not only did send the infamous crotch shot to a 21-year-old woman. He says he's been involved with six women online.

There are more photos, one attached to an e-mail as "ready.JPG," Breitbart writes is "extremely graphic, and leaves nothing to the imagination."

DEMOCRAT Weiner had no choice but to admit the truth. One of the women, Meagan Broussard, 26, spilled the beans.

Andrew Breitbart, on Big Government, published the facts.

Breitbart revealed Broussard's identity to ABC News. She supplied that network "with photos, emails, Facebook message and phone call logs she says chronicle a sexually-charged electronic relationship."

From ABC News:

Rep. Anthony Weiner of New York said today he has engaged in "several inappropriate" electronic relationships with six women over three years, and that he publicly lied about a photo of himself sent over Twitter to a college student in Seattle over a week ago.

"I take full responsibility for my actions," Weiner said. "The picture was of me, and I sent it."

The announcement came as ABC News prepared to release an interview with Meagan Broussard, a 26-year-old single mother from Texas who provided dozens of photos, emails, Facebook messages and cell phone call logs that she says chronicle a sexually-charged electronic relationship with Weiner that rapidly-evolved for more than a month, starting on April 20, 2011.

ABC News reached out to Weiner earlier today for comment about his possible ties to Broussard, but he did not respond to requests for an interview. At a press conference later, Weiner confirmed Broussard was one of the women with whom he sexted.

Broussard's story had threatened to expose the secret online life of one of the House Democrats' most popular members, and a man many considered a leading candidate for mayor of New York City.

It also raised new questions about Weiner's explanation for how a photo of a man's groin area ended up on his public Twitter feed on May 27. Today the congressman said he accidentally sent the image to a woman, Gennette Cordova, who was following him on Twitter, as a joke.

"I just chuckled," Broussard, a nursing student, said of her reaction to Weiner's initial response to the Twitter incident. "It would be one thing if he came out and said, 'Hey, so what?' But now he's saying he got hacked?"

Broussard said she received the same photo of a man's crotch on May 18 in an email from a man who she then believed was Weiner.

...Broussard said she wanted to come forward now out of concerns for her own image as an aspiring nurse, and that of her 3-year-old daughter, should her identity be leaked online. More than a dozen photos sent by Broussard to anthonyweiner@aol.com and a second account she believed was Weiner's were obtained and licensed from her by ABC News.

"I have my own life, my own things where I'm from and I just wanted to go ahead with them. I thought I could just be private about it, but there's no reason for me to hide," she said. "I didn't do anything wrong. I don't know him. I'm just putting my story out there before anyone else tries to."

DEMOCRAT Weiner is a liar.

He addressed the media repeatedly about the photo and he lied repeatedly.

Because of the cover-up and the lies, I think DEMOCRAT Weiner should resign immediately.

Dry your tears, DEMOCRAT Weiner.

Christopher Branski

I know I shouldn't be shocked by the foul-mouthed, hate-filled attacks by liberals against conservatives.

Spend a little time on the Internet and you can't miss the Left's ugliness. However, much of that is spewed under the assumption of anonymity.

When someone sends a vicious e-mail to an elected official and the individual has no qualms about having his name attached to it and his identity known, I do find it rather shocking.

Christopher M. Branski, a student at Madison Area Technical College, sent State Senator Alberta Darling an absolutely horrible e-mail.

Soon to be ex-Senator Darling:

Last night when you decided to cut the state EITC credits to working poor families in order to provide no-strings-attached tax breaks to corporations you showed your true colors: you're not on our side and you have no heart.

Instead of cajoling you to change your mind, I'm just going to tell you what you are: you're a useless f**king c*nt that has no redeeming value. There are not enough words to describe how much I hate you and the rest of the f**king scum in the Wisconsin GOP. You're parasites and you contribute nothing. Enjoy getting recalled you useless f**king dried up c*nt.

Christopher Branski

Wow.

Branski is truly scary.

He's doing more than attacking Sen. Darling. He's attacking women.

NOW should come to Sen. Darling's defense. The organization would condemn Branski if it were true to its alleged mission rather than serving as a political front group.

Democrats and other self-proclaimed feminists would express their outrage over Branski's e-mail and his inexcusable treatment of Sen. Darling.

But they don't.

Be proud, Leftists. Branski is your brother. Embrace him.

Solidarity.

Disgusting.

Piper Palin

Piper Palin, Sarah Palin's 10-year-old daughter, is coming under attack for how she behaved Tuesday in Philadelphia when reporters talked to her mom.

From the Los Angeles Times:

Piper Palin, even at the ripe old age of 10, is skeptical about the media. Who can blame her? The media and the public have shown an unusually strong attraction to her mother, Sarah Palin, despite the fact that the hockey mom no longer holds public office and hasn't announced that she's running for president or even vice president.

And yet there they are following her family around the East Coast with their microphones, notebooks and questions.

"Thanks for ruining our vacation," Piper told Time photographer Dima Gavrysh in Philadelphia.

Gavrysh shouldn't take it personally. Piper was especially frigid to the media in the City of Brotherly Love when reporters got a little too close to her mom.

Here's video:

Raw Video: Sarah Palin In Philly: MyFoxPHILLY.com

How dare Piper stay close to her mom!

Check out some of these comments on the Huffington Post site:

ZZPOT: I would've squashed her ugly little head like a grape. Know this won't make it, but it was fun posting it. OOOhhh big sunglasses

venice6: Someone should report Sarah Palin to Children's Social Services.

Palin is clearly using her Daughter as a publicity stunt and a human shield.

Unbelievable , irresponsible parenting. Would we expect anything different from Narcissistic Barbie?

4moyears: Piper has clearly enjoyed the spotlight since day one. In every clip you see of Sarah when the family is present, Piper has placed herself in the forefront. This child is clearly an undisclipined, rude brat.

4sunnydays: What a rude little child and her mother is just fine with it. I feel sorry for Trig who has used up his usefullnes?s to this wretched family. This is a horrid display of lacking family values and social morals. The media needs to treat palin as the insignific?ant specimen of life that she is.

bettestreep: Piper has no time for such frivolity!

Her main duties are babysittin?g her little brother and now she is expected to act as mummy's bodyguard too!

Someone should call Social Services and take the little girl into foster care before she gets further screwed up.

Catsun: Hillibilli?es without morals.

fiestyslug: Thug in a Fitch Tshirt

Xanadutu: Now 'it's' using her bratty kids as a shield???

Enough! Such ugliness!

These people are sick! They're such haters.

It really bugs me when these loons say that the Palin kids are fair game and deserve to be attacked since their mother is the one dragging them out in public.

Sarah Palin doesn't appear with her children more often than other political figures do. Sarah Palin hasn't exploited or abused her children.

Obama trotted his kids out at the 2008 Democrat National Convention. On February 11, 2007, Obama had his daughters perform for the 60 Minutes cameras. Throughout his presidency, we've seen photos of Obama with Sasha and Malia. The liberal media fawn over them. Leftists don't criticize the Obamas for having their daughters accompany them in public.

It's absurd to suggest that Sarah Palin uses her children in a manner that's any different than what has traditionally been done in American politics.

Nonetheless, the Palin haters claim that Sarah Palin is treating her children in a fashion that invites the Left's relentless, cruel, vicious criticism. In short, Sarah Palin is responsible for what the Left dishes out. The Leftists supposedly have license to be as ugly and vile as they want to be.

That's nuts.

Piper is a cutie.

I think the critics of Piper Palin, and the entire Palin family, need to do a little soul-searching. They appear to have serious issues and should consider anger management. Their intense reaction to Sarah Palin and her children is not normal. They have problems.

Here's video of Piper and her mom in Jersey City giving flowers to the press as a peace offering for the Tuesday incident:

Palin: Piper Sorry For Pushing Photog: MyFoxPHILLY.com

SARAH PALIN: Piper apologizes for pushing kind of one of the photographers the other day. She was trying to protect me, so she's going to give her little flowers to somebody.

...Thank you, guys. We apologize.

From The Jersey Journal:
During the Q and A, Palin unsuccessfully tried to get her daughter to hand out some flowers as an apology for pushing photographers while trying to protect mom in Philly.

No Jersey Journal photographer was pushed in the reporting of Palin's visit.

Little Piper seems embarrassed. Her mom ends up giving the flowers to the press.

She is very sweet.

UPDATE, June 6, 2011: DEMOCRAT Weiner says with certitude the photo is of his crotch.

DEMOCRAT Weiner is a liar.

He addressed the media repeatedly about the photo and he lied repeatedly.

Because of the cover-up and the lies, I think DEMOCRAT Weiner should resign immediately.

________________

Anthony Weiner is a DEMOCRAT.

The liberal media don't say that enough.

Anthony Weiner is a DEMOCRAT.

His fellow DEMOCRATS are "seething" over the infamous Weiner photo, albeit quietly.

This Associated Press headline describes the DEMOCRATS' reaction:

"Silence, vagueness from Democrats on Weiner photo"

Yes.

Well.

From AP:

Publicly silent, fellow Democrats privately seethed Thursday over the distraction and furor surrounding the lewd photo sent from Rep. Anthony Weiner's Twitter account, even as he declared he was finished talking about it and wanted to move on.

Weiner's one-day, pun-laden media blitz a day earlier had only raised more questions about the embarrassing flap when he conceded he wasn't sure whether the waist-down photo of a man's bulging underpants was of him or not. His refusal to involve law enforcement because he said as a member of Congress he shouldn't get special treatment — instead turning the issue over to a private security company he hired — raised rather and answered questions.

...Though generally mum in public, Democrats privately fumed at the forced detour in their arguments about Medicare and spending, leaving the generally well-liked seven-term congressman from Brooklyn and Queens largely to fend for himself for a third day in a row. Most Republicans seemed content to let the controversy simmer.

A scene on the House floor Wednesday afternoon seemed to highlight the situation. As newly elected New York Rep. Kathy Hochul was sworn in — after an upset, special-election victory Democrats considered a sign of their ability to communicate their differences with Republicans on the future of Medicare — Weiner and the No. 2 House Democrat, Steny Hoyer were locked in a nearly 10 minute, animated conversation.

On Thursday, Weiner joined Democratic lawmakers at the White House where the caucus met with President Barack Obama. As they walked from buses on Pennsylvania Ave. Weiner's colleagues stonewalled when they were asked about their colleague.

"I will have nothing to say about that," said fellow New Yorker, Rep. Louise Slaughter. "I'm here to put people to work."

"We're not distracted by that," said Rep. Rob Andrews, D-N.J.

The House's top Democrat, Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California, earlier told ABC News that she was "a late-comer to the issue" — one that cable TV and the Capitol press corps have been fixated on for most of the week.

Still, Pelosi added, "I have confidence in Anthony Weiner that if an investigation is in order that will take place."

The scandal is not just going to go away.

Video:

A law enforcement investigation is in order. If a crime has been committed, as Weiner insists, it needs to be investigated.

The only reason there shouldn't be a law enforcement investigation would be if Weiner knows what would be discovered - that he's lying.

Whatever the truth may be, Weiner has shamed himself and the Democrat party by the way he has handled the matter.

"Can't say with certitude."

What a joke!

In this story linked by Drudge, "Weiner’s Office Calls Police After CBS 2′s Marcia Kramer Asks For An Interview," I found this comment by Jack Ford to clarify what's really going on here:

On The Early Show Thursday, CBS news legal analyst Jack Ford, said the congressman may have a good reason for not involving authorities.

“It’s not against the law to lie to the media. It’s not against the law to lie to constituents. It is against the law to lie to law enforcement,” said Ford. “So if I’m a lawyer on a case like this, I’m going to be real careful before I let my client talk to law enforcement.”

The fact is Weiner has made a fool of himself. He's painted himself into a corner. He's imploding.

There's no graceful way for him to manage the scandal at this point. There's no way out.

Weiner: 'Can't Say With Certitude'

DEMOCRAT Rep. Anthony Weiner "can't say with certitude" that this lewd photo posted on his Twitter account was him.

From TPM:

Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) told MSNBC's Luke Russert today that he couldn't say "with certitude" that the lewd photograph sent out last weekend on his Twitter account wasn't a picture of him.

"That's not a picture of you?" Russert asked Weiner in one of what was reportedly a series of interviews Weiner planned for Wednesday afternoon to address the growing furor over the photo.

"I can't say with certitude," Weiner responded.

Weiner went on to say that his computer was "hacked," but added that pictures can be "manipulated."

Watch Luke Russert's complete interview with DEMOCRAT Weiner.

Although DEMOCRAT Weiner claims his Twitter account was hacked, he's not bringing in investigators to find the culprit.

That and DEMOCRAT Weiner's weird lack of "certitude" convinces me that he's lying.

The lying may be Weiner's undoing.

If DEMOCRAT Weiner were a Republican, he would be toast.

Here's more video, from yesterday, of DEMOCRAT Weiner evading questions about the scandal.

Hey, speaking of hot, know who's coming to Milwaukee this week? http://bit.ly/jx8Swl It's Anthony Weiner. Oh, that Anthony. He's swell.

The Democrat everyone is talking about (photo here) will be in Milwaukee!

The Democratic Party of Wisconsin's convention in Milwaukee this weekend will be the epicenter of WeinerGate!

The forecast for Friday: HOT AND HUMID.

From Green Bay Progressive:

It's not too late to register as a guest for the 2011 convention! This year's convention is the single best place to meet with Democrats before the critically important first set of recall elections July 12

Register today as a guest to attend our convention Friday June 3 and Saturday June 4!

We've just announced our special guest speakers — Rep. Anthony Weiner of New York, a champion of health care reform in the house, will address the convention Friday night. He will be joined by Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Chair of the DNC.

I wonder if Weiner will be Live Tweeting from the convention.

Follow Weiner on Twitter.

As Jon Stewart says, clearly Weiner leans hard to the Left.

Wisconsin 'No Call' List

What's almost as annoying as getting calls from telemarketers?

Registering again and again and again to be on the "NO CALL" list.

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

The phone lines to sign up for Wisconsin's "no call" list were so busy Tuesday that officials doubled the number of incoming phone lines for the service.

Sandy Chalmers, administrator of the state's Division of Trade and Consumer Protection, said the division had been receiving phone calls Tuesday morning from people who could not get through. The Journal Sentinel received similar calls from readers Tuesday who said the state's phone lines were not working.

Chalmers said the division contacted its phone vendor, which increased the number of incoming phone lines from 96 to 200 by midmorning. The division uses an external phone service to manage the no-call list registrations.

The no-call list helps people avoid calls from telemarketers. Those on the list have to register every two years to remain on the list. Tuesday was the deadline for getting on the list when it updates July 1.

...There are four quarterly registration periods for the no-call list during the year. The most recent list will go into effect July 1, while any registrations filed after Tuesday will go into effect Oct. 1.

I can't stand this repeated registration.

From the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection:

How long does my number stay on the List once I register?

Your phone number will go on the List approximately 30 to 120 days after you've registered. Your number will stay on the List for two years after it gets added to the List. In other words, if you register by December 1, 2002 to be put on the List starting January 1, 2003, your number will stay on the List until December 31, 2004.

When do I need to renew my registration?

You need to renew your registration two months before it expires to ensure uninterrupted service on the List. For example, if your last day to be on the List is January 1, 2004, then you will need to renew before December 1, 2003. If you fail to renew your registration by that time you may have to wait up to four months for your number to be updated to the List again.

Instead of going through this stupid process, why not allow people to simply stay on the list?

Once on the list, people can take action to get off if they wish. Otherwise, the list stays as is, a lifetime registration.

Why screw around with the last minute flood of calls whenever the NO CALL list story hits the media?

How many people are clogging phone lines even though their registration doesn't need to be renewed?

Why have to keep track of when it's time to renew?

In the age of the Internet, why would it take 30 to 120 days to get on the list?

Are state employees filling out little note cards, copying phone numbers to the list with dull, little, stubby pencils?

It should not take 4 months to get one's phone number on the list. This perpetual registration routine is a pain.

Here's something to remember if you missed the deadline for registration, or thought your registration wasn't ready to expire:

IMPORTANT: Even if a call is exempt from this law, you can still stop many of these calls just by telling them not to call you again. Federal law requires each and every business to place your name on their "no call" list, if you request it.

This method means you have to be bothered with the incoming call, but at least you can find some satisfaction in telling the caller not to bug you again.

I can't stand the telemarketing calls.

I can't stand Wisconsin's method to be on the NO CALL list.

It's an inefficient system.

It's a headache.

If the NO CALL list's purpose is to truly protect citizens from a barrage of unwanted telemarketing calls, then why force people to repeatedly register?

I think it would be better to register your phone number with the state if you want to receive calls.

I doubt there would be a four month wait to get on that list.
