Brian Williams: Fair and Balanced?

When NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last Friday to plug his upcoming NBC Dateline special, Taking the Hill: Inside Congress, Williams made the absurd claim that he was a fair and balanced journalist without an agenda.

Video.

JIMMY FALLON: We don't get really too political on our show, but now and then we'll do a joke about Obama, or we'll do a joke about Sarah Palin. Keep it balanced. But, man, people go nuts on Twitter. They go, 'Hey, stop making fun of Palin. Why aren't you making fun of Obama?' And I go, 'We do make fun of Obama.'

BRIAN WILLIAMS: Just today, somebody tweeted me, 'Hey, Brian, does your back get tired carrying all that water for Obama?' (Speaking with a mocking tone, sounding dim-witted)

FALLON: Wow.

WILLIAMS: Dude. Really.

FALLON: First of all, I apologize for sending that tweet. I apologize. I was drunk. I didn't know what I was doing.

WILLIAMS: And it's always like, you know, 'Partyboy@Arkansas.' (Dim-witted voice again)

FALLON: That's crazy, yeah. But I mean, do you find it hard. Being, you know, Brian Williams you can't really have a side. You have to be... you can't pick a side.

WILLIAMS: Well, I try to play it down the middle like you do every night. I do it in news, you do it in comedy. We try not to take a side.

That exchange made me gag.

I think Jimmy Fallon does a great job of keeping his show balanced. It's not overly political. He doesn't push an agenda. It's a great respite from all that stuff. The focus is on fun, not mean-spirited political sniping.

Brian Williams, on the other hand, does not provide balanced coverage of the news. He most definitely has an agenda.

The fact that Williams mocked someone criticizing him the way he did is revealing. Williams didn't cite a tweet complaining about him carrying water for the Republicans. He didn't say it's always from 'Partyboy@Massachusetts.'

Brent Bozell wrote a column about Williams' special and his assault on the Tea Party.

Of course, I didn't watch Taking the Hill, but Bozell's take is interesting.

Somehow, Williams never spent a second on his Obama special asking the President how he was going to handle the demands of “hardline liberals” – or any kind of liberal, for that matter. The only hardliners are conservatives who want to stop the spending madness. What this country desperately needs are more “hardline conservatives” to dismay network anchormen.

Williams undermined his own musical intro by questioning Boehner’s grip on power. “Mr. Speaker, is it fair to say you have a bit of a rebellion on your hands?” Sadly, Boehner tried to play along. “I've got a little rebellion on my hands every day. It comes with the territory.”

Williams pulled out the New York Times, not exactly where Republicans go to look good. “You don't look happy on the front page of the New York Times. It says ‘Boehner's Grip on His Caucus is Put to Test on Standoff.’ Feel like you're being tested?” Boehner agreed. The question is whether Boehner wants to pass that test by pleasing liberals like Brian Williams, or by pleasing conservatives.

Williams suggested the newest Tea Party Republicans in Congress weren’t real Republicans: “Your job is to run your party, but there is another party in there too. You have this Tea Party caucus that didn't come to Washington with the same values.”

This time, Boehner had a good answer. “It's not the Tea Party caucus. It would be more what I would describe as some hardline conservatives who want more. I don't blame them. I want more, too.”

And now we arrive at the point where Williams and NBC made colossal fools of themselves.

Williams wanted the political narrative to be painted by ultraliberal Sen. Charles Schumer. “Word has gotten around” that House Republicans held a meeting and showed a motivational movie clip from the Ben Affleck crime movie “The Town,” which Williams said “eventually involves hockey masks and baseball bats and tons of bullets.” Horrors!

After Schumer declared the Republicans were violent nuts, the NBC cameras turned to Republican whip Kevin McCarthy. Williams pushed him about this press-stopping scandal. McCarthy professed amazement that Schumer would be highlighting a movie clip from a meeting he didn’t attend.

He shouldn’t be amazed, and Brian Williams would never try to embarrass Democrats by accepting leaks about movie clips from internal party meetings. That partisan double standard defines the Old Media.

I wonder if Williams sincerely believes that he's fair and plays it down the middle.

Does he really fail to notice the way he exposes his bias?

Could he be that delusional?

Steny Hoyer: Republicans, Bullets, Obama

The Left went berserk over Sarah Palin and crosshairs.

Why is it acceptable for DEMOCRAT leader, House Minority Whip, Steny Hoyer to use extremely violent imagery when referring to Republicans and their interaction with Obama?

Hoyer was on the despicable MSNBC's Morning Joe on Wednesday. He used language that was not at all in line with the supposed "new tone" in Washington ushered in after the Tucson shootings.

Video.

Transcript:
STENY HOYER: Bob, I think you're right. I think it's unfortunate that politics is playing a role. I think we're playing Russian roulette, frankly, with the nation's credit worthiness. And unfortunately, all the chambers seem to be loaded in the House side. They want to shoot every bullet they can at the President. I think it's political in that sense, but it is much, much too dangerous to be playing politics with the credit worthiness of the United States, where for the first time in history we wouldn't be able to pay our bills.

I am hopeful, again, John Boehner has offered a number of proposals. Remember back when John Boehner offered a continuing resolution to keep the government open. He lost 59 of his members then on a deal that he made, not a Democratic - Republican agreement, on a deal that he made.

No one called Hoyer on his terrible choice of words.

It's incredibly irresponsible for Hoyer to speak of Republicans wanting to riddle Obama with bullets.

Saying Republicans "want to shoot every bullet they can at the president" is a startling way for Hoyer to make his point.

Where's the outrage now?

Crickets.

The Leftists apply a different standard to themselves.

The hypocrisy of the Left knows no limits.

Jimmy Williams, Grover Norquist, 'Butt Buddy'

The liberal media are really going off the deep end lately, particularly MSNBC.

Civility is out the window.

On the Dylan Ratigan Show, panelist Jimmy Williams, a Democrat lobbyist, referred to Grover Norquist as Newt Gingrich's "butt buddy."

Video.

Transcript
JIMMY WILLIAMS: One person is controlling the agenda of the United States of America right now and his name is Grover Norquist.

Grover Norquist was Newt Gingrich's butt buddy. He was Jack Abramoff's close friend and laundered money from Native Americans. He charged people $25,000 a pop to go to a Bush White House signing ceremony. He is a petty criminal. And he's made just about every single member of the House of Representatives on the Republican, not the Tea Party, the Republican side, and almost all Republican senators sign a pledge saying that they will never ever for the rest of their lives raise taxes.

I need to know, first of all, do we have on the Left a Grover Norquist? And if we don't, why not?

I don't think it's appropriate for a panelist on a televised news program to use such a crass term as butt buddy.

MSNBC is really a mess.

There is a lack of decency. It's vulgar stuff. This level of discourse at the cable network reflects horribly on NBC News. This gathering place for Leftists is a disgrace.

I know they're desperate for ratings and they're trying to appeal to the fringe Left, but how low are they willing to go?

BREWER: Do you have a degree in economics?

BROOKS: Yes, ma'am, I do. Highest honors.

Oh, Contessa, you stepped in it - AGAIN!

What a fool!

Dave Hansen Wins Recall

Dave Hansen, one of the Democrat senators who fled the state and ran to Illinois to avoid permitting the Wisconsin legistlative branch of government to function, has been rewarded.

He retains a seat in the State Senate.

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

Democratic state Sen. Dave Hansen of Green Bay was the first of nine state senators to face a final recall election, and he easily survived Tuesday.

Hansen won a lopsided victory over his Republican challenger, wind farm developer David VanderLeest of Green Bay, against whom Democrats and their allies have been hammering away on his personal and legal problems.

Watch Hansen and his comrades appear on Ed Schultz's show.

Nauseating.

This is a long, torturous video clip. The Dems appear at 3:15.

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

DAVE HANSEN: I just wanted to say that as a former public employee I really appreciated what labor organizations did for me. I drove a truck for the city of Green Bay sanitation before I became a state senator. And without that we wouldn't have had any pay or any benefits, and that's what they're trying to do. They're trying to remove ANY right to bargain, negotiate, and remove collective bargaining that's been in place for 50 years. It is a sad, sad day, and it's ridiculous what those 18 Republican senators did today. And our Governor should be ashamed of himself.

Good grief.

Hansen retains his seat. That's not an upset given his opponent.

If I were a union hack/Dem, I wouldn't get too cocky.

Jonathan Steitz Wins Primary

Jonathan Steitz will take on AWOL Sen. Robert Wirch in the August 16 recall election.

From FOX 6 News:

Attorney Jonathan Steitz has won a Republican primary in a Wisconsin recall election, and now advances to challenge Democratic state Sen. Robert Wirch next month.

Steitz has 64 percent of Tuesday's vote, with 73 percent of precincts reporting. He defeated Fred Ekornaas,a retired Kenosha County sheriff and current county board vice chairman.

Robert Wirch, like his fellow AWOL Democrat senators, revealed that he's not fit to serve in the state legislature.

The first requirement: SHOW UP AND DO YOUR JOB.

Wirch, of course, did not. He ran to Illinois, refusing to fulfill his duty to represent his constituents.

Instead, he did the bidding of Big Labor, and was funded by national Leftist groups.

Back in March, while appearing on MSNBC with the vulgar and crazed and deranged and disgraced Ed Schultz, Wirch compared the passage of the Budget Repair Bill to the attack on Pearl Harbor.

ROBERT WIRCH: This is a day of infamy for Wisconsin workers. Tomorrow, they're second class citizens thanks to the Republicans who took that terrible vote tonight.

Video here.

Very inappropriate.

Wirch has shown he doesn't deserve the privilege of representing the people of the 22nd Senate District.

Jonathan Steitz is by far the superior candidate.

Summerfest Stabbing - White Guy Did It

UPDATE, July 11, 2011: Greenfield man arrested in Summerfest stabbing
A Waukesha man is recovering after he was stabbed twice in the stomach during Summerfest Friday night.

Ricardo Moran was near the Harley-Davidson stage at 11 p.m. when he got into an argument with a 24-year-old man from Greenfield. Moran told Today's TMJ4 that the Greenfield man bumped into him. The Greenfield man stabbed him twice with a knife, Milwaukee police Sgt. Mark Stanmeyer said.

The suspect was arrested.

When was the suspect arrested?

Why did it take so long for police to release information on the stabbing?

_________________

MSNBC's online report on the Summerfest stabbing at the Dropkick Murphys concert, using WTMJ-TV and JSOnline.com as sources, mentions the race of the attacker.

He is described as a "a white man with a goatee."

Summerfest stabbing victim speaks out
In an exclusive interview, Ricardo Moran tells TODAY'S TMJ4 a white man with a goatee bumped into him, then quickly stabbed him twice in the middle of a crowd. "What I saw in his eyes was something different. He had kind of a smirk on his face. Like he intended to bump me to see what would happen, to see if I would defend myself," Moran said.

Here's the text of TMJ4's online report:
A Waukesha man is recovering after a violent encounter on the Summerfest grounds Friday night.

Police will talk more about the incident on Monday. Summerfest organizers tell TODAY'S TMJ4 they have not added any security, maintaining the festival already has solid security measures in place.

Again, the attacker's race is mentioned, the MSNBC article being a copy of the TMJ4 piece.

A white guy allegedly committed the violent act.

WHITE. The bad guy is WHITE.

However, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, citing TMJ4 as its source, chose to omit the race of the attacker in its online report on the incident.
A man was stabbed at Summerfest Friday night, according to WTMJ-TV (Channel 4).

Ricardo Moran told WTMJ a man came out of the crowd Friday night and cut him twice in the stomach and chest. Moran was hospitalized overnight and released on Saturday, the station reported.

Moran said he was at Summerfest with his wife. At one point, he felt a strong push and turned to see a man who quickly stabbed him. He said he did not know the man or what prompted the attack.

Summerfest officials could not be reached for comment.

The Milwaukee Police Department said it would not release any information on the incident until a Monday morning news conference.

It's weird that TMJ4, and accordingly, MSNBC, chose to report on the attacker's race, while the Journal Sentinel did not.

Has the Journal Sentinel decided it's going to be colorblind?

It's also weird that the police department is staying quiet until a Monday news conference.

Why a news conference at all?

Does this incident merit a news conference, scheduled more than two days after the attack?

Given the PR disaster of the mob attacks last weekend, I suppose I can understand the lengthy silence by the department. All parties probably want to get their stories straight this time to avoid further embarrassment.

Better to wait until Summerfest is over, too.

I wonder if Ed Flynn and the Leftist media will go out of their way to stress that race is NOT a factor in this crime.

Maybe race can be discussed in this crime since the attacker was white. No need to fear a racial emphasis dividing the community in this case.

I don't know.

Mark Halperin, Obama, Dick (Video)

Oh, MSNBC!

You usually make me angry, but in this case, you make me laugh.

The distinguished Mark Halperin said a bad, bad thing; and the MSNBC crew was too incompetent to handle the technical side, invoking the 7-second delay.

From Politico:

MSNBC senior political analyst Mark Halperin was suspended on Thursday by the cable network after he called President Obama “a dick” on a popular morning show and then quickly apologized.

“I thought he was a kind of a dick yesterday,” Halperin, who also is an editor-at large for Time, said on Morning Joe, referring to the President’s conduct during his press conference.

Only on MSNBC.

Can you imagine the outrage if a "senior political analyst" on FOX News called Obama a dick?

Obama would probably give a dramatic speech about angry political rhetoric and call for civility.

Editorial after editorial in liberal rags would condemn the offender.

Halperin's mistake was trusting MSNBC to cover his remark.

Alas, Halperin is suspended indefinitely.

A couple of hours later, MSNBC issued a statement, saying, “Mark Halperin’s comments this morning were completely inappropriate and unacceptable. We apologize to the President, The White House and all of our viewers. We strive for a high level of discourse and comments like these have no place on our air. Therefore, Mark will be suspended indefinitely from his role as an analyst.

The cable outlet also put out a statment from Halperin at the same time, saying, “I completely agree with everything in MSNBC’s statement about my remark. I believe that the step they are taking in response is totally appropriate. Again, I want to offer a heartfelt and profound apology to the President, to my MSNBC colleagues, and to the viewers. My remark was unacceptable, and I deeply regret it.”

Time issued a statement later Thursday calling Halperin’s comments “inappropriate and in no way reflective of TIME’s views.”

The statement from TIME is funny.

Although Halperin should not have used that term during commentary on TV, the gist of his remark certainly reflects the views of much of the nation.

Phil Griffin: MSNBC's Leftist Bias

This is for the Leftists who insist that MSNBC is a legitimate news outlet rather than a Left-wing propaganda machine.

That includes Rachel Maddow and her absurd claim that MSNBC is not a political operation.

MSNBC President Phil Griffin embraces his Lefty oasis and encourages Leftists to consider it their home.

From the Media Research Center:

In an interview with the AP, MSNBC President Phil Griffin bragged about life after Keith Olbermann, touting the cable channel as "really the place to go for progressives."

Griffin didn't bother denying the liberal bent of the network. He highlighted left-wing anchor Rachel Maddow, hyping, "She really has elevated the discussion and is in many ways the model that we want for cable news."

The MSNBC executive wouldn't discuss Keith Olbermann, who abruptly left the cable network in January. His new show will debut this week on Current TV.

...In the June 19 AP piece by David Bauder, Griffin identified his network's brand: "MSNBC has established a sensibility, a position, a platform...MSNBC stands for something and MSNBC is really the place to go for progressives and people who are looking for smart, thoughtful analysis."

I don't want to hear another Leftist claim that MSNBC is fair and balanced and delivers objective reporting.

If that's what you believe, maybe MSNBC President Phil Griffin can help you understand that you're wrong.

Thomas Roberts and LBJ

MSNBC is a train wreck.

MSNBC's Thomas Roberts declared that Lyndon Baines Johnson was NEVER ELECTED president of the United States.

Thomas Roberts, are you smarter than a fifth grader?

NO.

This is the same person who mocked Sarah Palin's alleged "flub" about Paul Revere.

Here's video:

Transcript, from NewsBusters:
THOMAS ROBERTS: Texans have a mixed track record in president politics. George W. Bush went two-for-two. While he barely eked out a victory over Al Gore in 2000, relying on the Supreme Court to decide the Florida recount, his victory in 2004 was decisive and he returned with the majority of the popular vote. President Lyndon Johnson was from Texas and he was never actually elected Commander in Chief. As we all know, he was JFK's Vice President, sworn-in as President aboard Air Force One after Kennedy was shot in Dallas. Johnson decided not to run for re-election in '68 as the Vietnam War brought his popularity to an all time low.

Obviously, there were a lot of people involved in this broadcast.

Roberts wasn't the only clueless one. A slew of MSNBCers didn't catch this glaring mistake.

But these are the same people who mercilessly mock Sarah Palin for being stupid.

LBJ WAS NEVER ELECTED PRESIDENT.

Unbelievable.

MSNBC is a train wreck.

Weiner: Then and Now

DEMOCRAT Anthony Weiner, June 1, 2011:

DEMOCRAT Anthony Weiner, June 6, 2011:

Backed into a corner, DEMOCRAT Weiner acted like a different man.

Yes, DEMOCRAT Anthony Weiner, it's you.

I think DEMOCRAT Weiner never intended to come clean. He was forced to tell the truth.

DEMOCRAT Weiner's emotion at his press conference had more to do with the embarrassment of getting caught than with sincere remorse. Moreover, I think he knew he had to appear to be completely distraught if he's to have any chance of surviving the scandal.

Sympathy from the public is his only hope.

The guy is a liar. He can't be trusted. He has terrible judgment. He's a congressman, not a high school kid caught up in a sexting mess.

If he wants to spare his family pain, DEMOCRAT Weiner should bow out of office now and just go away until CNN or MSNBC offer him a show.

Ed Schultz: Laura Ingraham, 'Slut'

Yes, those Leftists are so civil. They are beyond reproach.

Sure.

On his syndicated radio show, MSNBC host Ed Schultz called Laura Ingraham a "Right-wing slut."

Audio from The Daily Caller, via Brian Maloney, The Radio Equalizer:

Transcript
ED SCHULTZ (02:52): And what do the Republicans thinking about? They're not thinking about their next-door neighbor. They're just thinking about how much this is going to cost. President Obama is going to be visiting Joplin, Mo., on Sunday but you know what they're talking about, like this right-wing slut, what's her name?, Laura Ingraham? Yeah, she's a talk slut. You see, she was, back in the day, praising President Reagan when he was drinking a beer overseas. But now that Obama's doing it, they're working him over.

Why does MSNBC give someone like Ed Schultz, good buddy of Chris Larson, a platform?

There's a problem when an outlet like MSNBC is willing to tolerate its hosts denigrating women like that.

Does MSNBC really want Ed Schultz to be on its team?

Do Brian Williams and NBC News approve of the MSNBC extremists dragging down the credibility of the NBC News brand?

I guess it doesn't matter.

NBC News lost credibility long ago.

UPDATE: MSNBC suspends Schultz for calling Ingraham a 'slut'
MSNBC has suspended Ed Schultz, host of the “The Ed Show,” for one week without pay for calling conservative talk show host Laura Ingraham a ‘right-wing slut’ on his syndicated radio program Tuesday.

“Remarks of this nature are unacceptable and will not be tolerated,” MSNBC said in a statement.

MSNBC said Schultz will address the remarks on his show Wednesday night, and begin his leave immediately afterward. He will return on June 6th.

“MSNBC management met with Ed Schultz this afternoon and accepted his offer to take one week of unpaid leave for the remarks he made yesterday on his radio program,” MSNBC said.

MSNBC should fire Schultz.

Why would management want him to be one the main faces of the network?

MSNBC/NBC News must get its act together.

Paul Ryan: 'Grandma Off Cliff' Ad

The Agenda Project, a Leftist group, has created a truly disgusting political ad.

It attacks the Republicans' budget plan by depicting a figure resembling Paul Ryan pushing an elderly woman in a wheelchair in a park-like setting. "America the Beautiful" plays in the background while birds sing.

The man ignores a sign, "Do not go beyond barricade," and the woman begins to panic and struggle. Eventually, he throws her off a cliff, literally. The man then simply turns back, pushing the empty wheelchair.

The words "Is America beautiful without Medicare?" appear on the screen.

Then, "Ask Paul Ryan and his friends in Congress (202)225-3031."

Watch.

Really sick.

The Leftists have no shame, unless they're screaming "SHAME" at the top of their lungs.

____________________

Chris Matthews, MSNBC Democrat hack always yapping about ugly conservative rhetoric, really enjoyed the ad.

From Media Research Center:

A clearly amused Chris Matthews narrated and laughed at a liberal ad showing Republican Paul Ryan murdering an elderly woman by throwing her off a cliff. This is the same MSNBC anchor who railed against "ugly" conservative talk and wondered if it led to the shooting of Representative Gabrielle Giffords.

...[O]n the January 11, 2011 Hardball, Matthews highlighted the shooting of Giffords and foamed, "People like Mark Levin, Michael Savage, for example who every time you listen to them are furious, furious at the Left with anger that just builds and builds in their voice, and by the time they go to commercial, they’re just in some rage, every night, with ugly talk. Ugly sounding talk."

He lamented that conservatives see the other side "as evil, as awful. Not just disagreeable but evil." Matthews then implicated these talk radio hosts in the shooting of Giffords by a deranged person: "And my question is doesn't that give the moral license to people who have crazy minds to start with?"

Yet, on Tuesday, Matthews joked, "Finally, grandma gets thrown off the cliff." Earlier, he called it an "ad that's over the edge, literally." But, this was also made in an amused tone.

And the Leftists insist that MSNBC doesn't have a liberal bias?

Right.

Here's the video:

Transcript
CHRIS MATTHEWS: And talk about an ad that's over the edge, literally. A liberal group has produced [ad plays onscreen.]- catch- Oh, there you see it, not holding back on that one. [Laughs.] Throwing grandma or- that's- I think it is supposed to be Paul Ryan pushing the wheelchair with grandma over the edge. That's in the Sideshow. We will show you the full ad.

MATTHEWS: Finally, grandma gets thrown off the cliff. A liberal group called The Agenda Project has just released an ad whacking at Paul Ryan's to privatize Medicare. Subtle? This ad is not.

[Plays ad of Ryan throwing an old woman off a cliff.]

MATTHEWS: Boy, I love the point of view on that one as she tries to slow down with her feet. Anyway, the irony here, Paul Ryan may be driving the Republican Party off the cliff.

Chris Matthews: Gingrich, The Joker, Obama, Batman

I think MSNBC should send Chris Matthews packing - immediately. The damage being done to the NBC news brand is enormous and probably irreparable.

Like Matthews' former MSNBC colleague Keith Olbermann, I'm sure Al Gore's network would welcome him with open arms.

On Wednesday, Matthews cast Newt Gingrich as the Joker to Obama's Batman.

I'm not a Newt Gingrich fan, but this is ridiculous.

Video.

Transcript, from NewsBusters:
CHRIS MATTHEWS: Let me finish tonight with the Joker. Remember him? He was played by Jack Nicholson in that great “Batman” movie by Tim Burton. He was the key to the movie. Why? Because his dark world of malevolence and revenge set in contrast the goodwill, generosity and glamour of our hero. He was to the movie on the bad side what Batman was on the good. Batman stands on tall buildings looking for evil to be perpetrated, people to be saved. The Joker looks for ways to manipulate public opinion, interrupt the TV news, and bring his evil intentions and motives and instincts into reality.

Maybe the President today is our Batman, trying to do good, a bit mysterious, a bit cool and technocratic, a bit removed from the world of emotions, but right, right there on the side of good, always using his brains and wit to look out for the people in trouble. Well, maybe he's not that good.

No, Newt Gingrich is a far better Joker than Barack Obama is our Batman, that wide demonic smile of his, too much smile, not even a twitch of heart behind it, all guile, all dark delight in the menace he can dredge from the afternoon newspaper, the fears of people on the street, the midnight dread of what might be coming in an uncertain world and time.

Newt Gingrich, like all the bad guys of the Batman world, has now gotten caught up in his own nasty ploys. He’s just so instinctively looking for the next chance to attack he loses control even on his own bad attitude. “Life’s been good to me,” the Joker tells us on his comeback from the past, his face repainted to cover the horror, his smile deluding none of us instead being an unintended warning.

The joker is out there again, and no one's safe from his menace, least of all himself.

Matthews has really gone off the deep end. It's almost scary. He's so over the top.

The funny thing is Gingrich isn't the comic book villain Matthews makes him out to be.

Instead, Matthews is the joke.

Chris Matthews: Sarah Palin 'Profoundly Stupid'

Chris Matthews, unhinged Leftist and Democrat hack, mercilessly trashed Sarah Palin on MSNBC's Hardball on Tuesday.

Here's video:

Transcript, from NewsBusters:
SHUSHANNAH WALSHE, NEWSWEEK: I think we shouldn’t forget Sarah Palin. I’m sure she’s watching this news and being like, just anxious to get in there, especially after hearing the Huckabee news, Michele Bachmann’s news. I wouldn’t count her out yet, Chris.

CHRIS MATTHEWS, HOST: What, Palin?

WALSHE: Yes.

MATTHEWS: You think Palin might be willing to give up her salary at Roger Ailes’ operation to run for president.

WALSHE: I do. I think that she’s looking at the Huckabee news and just salivating. I think that she…

RON REAGAN: More fun for us.

WALSHE: I think that, I mean, she’s still making decisions…

MATTHEWS: I think Sarah Palin proved herself to be, I think she’s proven herself to be profoundly stupid. Her inability to answer the questions of Katie Couric. Her inability even now to explain that she ever reads anything. Her absolute failure to begin studying and get serious about running for president. She’s shown no effort at doing any homework or understanding of the issues like the economy or science or the world. No effort, and she’s running for president. I don’t believe that she’d be at all helpful to our republic. Anyway, thank you Ron Reagan. Thank you Shushannah Walshe. I hope she doesn’t run for arguing.

God, these Leftists hate Sarah Palin! They absolutely hate her.

It's weird. It's disturbing. It's just not normal.

Condoleezza Rice and Lawrence O'Donnell

MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell is a horrible interviewer. HORRIBLE.

Watch former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice suffer the disrespect and stupidity of the crazed Leftist propagandist Lawrence O'Donnell.

Condoleezza Rice showed incredible restraint and patience with the disgraceful, classless O'Donnell.

Rice's brilliance overpowers O'Donnell, a rude and ill-informed hack.

Seth Meyers: White House Correspondents' Dinner (Video)

Seth Meyers ripped Obama at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.

Video.

SETH MEYERS: So it's not a strong [Republican] field. And who knows if they can beat you in 2012? But I tell you who could definitely beat you, Mr. President: 2008 Barack Obama. You would have loved him. So charismatic, so charming.

Meyers joked about the after-parties.

Video, from Breitbart.

SETH MEYERS: I'm contractually obligated to attend the MSNBC party tonight. Everyone knows how the MSNBC party works: President Obama makes the Kool-Aid and everyone there drinks it.

Contessa Brewer and Tony Katz

MSNBC'a Contessa Brewer, former TMJ4 reporter and anchor, had a spirited discussion with Tony Katz, talk radio host.

Of course, Brewer was as Leftist and loony as ever. Katz schooled Brewer. No surprise there.

What's best about this segment is Katz's use of the term "racer" to describe those many Leftist individuals who insist that criticism of Obama must be rooted in race.

Video.

Transcript
TONY KATZ: But this whole idea of race, you know what? If there are birthers, and they're all crazy and silly for actually wanting to see a birth certificate, well let's talk about the "racers" - the people who believe that everything's a conspiracy about race. It's Obama's race that people want to see the birth certificate. It's Obama's race that people don't like the out of control spending. It's not his race. It's that he's awful. The policies are terrible.

Exactly. It's not about Obama's skin. It's about his policies and his miserable performance as president.

I love that term - RACERS.

Leftists, including Obama, have to realize that playing the race card is not effective.

Critics of Obama will not be silenced by being called racist. It's not going to work.

The racers are just as offensive as the birthers.

Racism exists. Falsely crying "racism" only serves to minimize the significance of actual instances of racism. That's a major step backward for everyone.

Trump: Racist

MSNBC pounded a message on Tuesday: Donald Trump is a racist. The Tea Party and Republicans are racist.

On Lawrence O'Donnell's The Last Word, PBS host Tavis Smiley declared that the 2012 presidential race would be the most racist in the nation's history, thanks to the Tea Party and Trump.

Video and transcript, from NewsBusters:

Transcript
TAVIS SMILEY, PBS: I said over a year ago that this was going to be, this presidential race, Lawrence, was going to be the ugliest, the nastiest, the most divisive, and the most racist, the most racist, in the history of this republic. I did not know that that race to the bottom would begin so quickly. One can disagree with the Tea Party…

LAWRENCE O'DONNELL, HOST: Why did you see this coming?

SMILEY: I saw it coming because it’s pretty clear given how the Tea Party has acted, given that Donald Trump is now playing to the worst in the Tea Party, that this would be possible. I don’t want to demonize or cast aspersions on the Tea Party broadly. I believe that there’s a certain angst that many people in that entity feel, and I share that angst about government. I don’t believe that it’s the solution to reduce government.

Government does have a role to play. We’ve got to figure out, we can figure out and debate what that role is, but there have been semantics they’ve engaged in that made it clear to me: showing up at rallies with guns, and the Secret Service, you know, working overtime to protect this president. More threats against his life than any president in the history of the nation, indeed, presidents combined.

So the evidence is pretty clear that they would do anything and say anything in order to make sure he does not get reelected.

When in doubt, whip out the race card.

MSNBC stuck with its "Trump is a racist" theme after O'Donnell's show ended.

The crazed Ed Schultz, host of MSNBC's Ed Show, said, "I think Donald Trump is a racist."

Here's the video and transcript, also from NewsBusters:

Transcript
ED SCHULTZ: You mean to tell me that [Trump’s] questioning the academic prowess of one of the smartest presidents we’ve ever had? Mr. Trump, when you start getting your advice from all of the special, special Republican advisers that we’ve seen step to the plate in the past instead of Jerome Corsi. Dude, you could do better than that.

This is what the Republican Party stands for, though: racism. I think Donald Trump is a racist.

MSNBC and its radical Leftist hosts and guests are a disgrace.

Don't they have a conscience or any concern about the consequences of their ugly, irresponsible rhetoric?

Apparently not.

The Republican Party does not stand for racism. The Tea Party isn't about racism. From what I've seen, Trump is not a racist.

Good grief.

The band of extreme Leftists at MSNBC really have done so much damage to the NBC News brand, but they keep plugging away, peddling their propaganda.

Thankfully, MSNBC languishes in the ratings cellar. Americans reject it.
