Bay View McDonald's Robbed

Two Milwaukee Police Officers were in the right place at the right time to get three lowlifes off the streets.

The thugs had just carried out an armed robbery when the police caught up with them.

Three teenagers are accused of robbing a Bay View McDonalds. It happened around 9 p.m. Tuesday at 830 E. Potter Avenue. Police say the teens went into the restaurant, one displayed a gun, took money and got into a vehicle. Milwaukee Police Officers Pat Paget and Juan Lopez were in the area at the time. They heard a car peeling out and thought it was suspicious so they followed it. The people inside were throwing items out of the car and driving erratically. Police pulled them over and found evidence linked to the crime. All three teenagers were arrested. They are all males, ages 15, 18 and 19. No one was injured.

The good news is the criminals were arrested.

The bad news is another Bay View business was robbed.

Maybe it's time once again for Mayor Tom Barrett to take a walk.

Question: Will police still be patrolling that area after the Neighborhood Safety Initiative ends on September 8?

Barrett can't personally patrol every city street when the summer is over.
