I Love Dr. Dean!

What can I say about DNC chairman Howard Dean? I just love the fact that he is the individual at the helm of the Democrat party. I LOVE IT!

From the Arizona Republic:

Dean jeers DeLay on eve of Valley trip

Howard Dean, national chairman of the Democratic Party, said Tuesday that he thinks House Majority Leader Tom DeLay has committed crimes that could put the Republican in jail.

DeLay's office fought back with Dean's own words from the 2004 presidential campaign. The former Vermont governor had maintained that even terrorist leader Osama bin Laden should not be pre-judged if captured.

"There's corruption at the highest level of the Republican Party, and they're going to have to face up to that one of these days, because the law is closing in on Tom DeLay," Dean said in a telephone interview before heading to an appearance today in Phoenix.

"I think he's guilty . . . of taking trips paid for by lobbyists, and of campaign-finance violations during his manipulation of the Texas election process," Dean said.

The remarks reflected no retreat from Dean's comment Saturday to Massachusetts Democrats that "I think Tom DeLay ought to go back to Houston, where he can serve his jail sentence."

...Dean, noting that DeLay was reprimanded three times last year by the House ethics committee, said, "No wonder the Republicans are a little nervous. It's easier for them to attack me."

Dan Allen, a spokesman for DeLay, pointed to Dean's comments about due process for bin Laden.

"I've resisted pronouncing a sentence before guilt is found," Dean said during the 2004 Democratic primary campaign. "I still have this old-fashioned notion that even with people like Osama, who is very likely to be found guilty, we should do our best not to, in positions of executive power, not to prejudge jury trials."

Republican National Committee spokesman Danny Diaz, calling DeLay "an extremely effective member of Congress and the leadership," said, "It's disappointing that the Democrats are trying to do through the media and scare campaigns what they were unable to do at the ballot box."

Dr. Dean has already convicted Tom DeLay; but he's careful not to prejudge Osama bin Laden.

I'm sure many in the MoveOn brigade are on board with the good doctor's assertions and they have no problem with him voicing such outrageous statements. After the fringe left hijacked the Democrat party, these gems have become commonplace.

I am concerned that the more moderate (relatively speaking) Dems will organize and boot Dr. Dean out. I don't like to think about that.

Dr. Dean, I love you!
