Al Gore and Modern Interpretive Dance

At the end of Jay Leno's monologue, Al Gore just happened to drop by for a quick appearance. It was like Bob Hope dropping in on Johnny Carson, only Gore wasn't very funny or entertaining.

Gore mentioned Current TV and the launch of the new website.

Enough already with Current.

Gore also talked about winning an Oscar and an Emmy.

He said that he wanted to try for a Tony.

Gore dramatically told Leno, "Modern interpretive dance is my life."

Yes, the wooden Gore has loosened up a lot since he became a celebrity. He acts much happier than he did as a politician.

I wonder if he really is satisfied with his new status -- Al Gore Superstar.

After the commercial break, sweet older lady Marjorie Johnson, "Blue Ribbon Baker" from Minnesota, acted as Leno's correspondent to cover the Emmy Awards.

She posed a question to Gore when he was in the press room after winning the Emmy.

Marjorie asked Gore if her baking was harmful to the environment.

Gore was very kind. He said that he was familiar with her and that he didn't think she could ever do anything that would be harmful.

Afterward, she whispered to the camera, "Al Gore knew me. So now I feel a little bad that I didn't vote for him."
