Complaint against Grochowski Withdrawn

The father of the Pewaukee High School football player, the kid who either intentionally head-butted New Berlin Eisenhower coach Clint Grochowski or was an innocent victim of a shove from the coach, has dropped his request for police to investigate the incident.

From TMJ4:

The Pewaukee father who went to police after a pushing incident involving his son and the Eisenhower football coach withdrew his complaint.

...The pushed player and his father had filed a complaint with New Berlin police. Police were reviewing video and interviewing people involved until the father withdrew his complaint Wednesday evening.

The case is now considered closed, according to a release distributed by Lt. Mike Glider.

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:
The father made his request in writing, but police were not releasing the letter Wednesday.

What prompted the father to withdraw his complaint?

Did he think further investigation might actually be detrimental to his son?

Did he realize that he made a mistake by running to the police?

Did he just want the controversy to go away as soon as possible?

Who knows?

It's good that the case is closed and the police investigation is over, but I doubt that all is forgiven. It certainly isn't forgotten.
