A method Aruban interrogators have tried in the Holloway case is to put Joran van der Sloot and Deepak and Satish Kalpoe in the same room together and question them. It makes sense, given that the investigation had become stagnant, with each sticking to their own stories. By putting them together, they were positioned to challenge each other's accounts.
Joran van der Sloot is now saying that it was one of the Kalpoe brothers that was the last to see Natalee Holloway, and not him.
Joran has confessed that he had a sexual relationship with Natalee. When the two mothers met at the van der Sloot home, they reportedly talked in detail about that relationship. Beth Holloway Twitty was particularly concerned because she believed that Natalee was a virgin.
