CODEPINK ATTACKS

It really is inexcusable that CODEPINK wackos are allowed to disrupt the people's business in Washington.

At a hearing today, Condoleezza Rice was ambushed by the loons.

WASHINGTON -- Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Wednesday that a "two-state solution" in the Middle East was in jeopardy, and described a narrow window of opportunity to push Israel and the Palestinians toward peace.

In a House hearing interrupted by anti-war protesters, Rice said an upcoming peace conference in Annapolis, Md., is needed to give hope to moderate Palestinian forces. She blamed Iran for fanning flames in the region, including what she called "troubling" new support for Hamas militants.

"Our concern is growing that without a serious political prospect for the Palestinians that gives to moderate leaders a horizon that they can show to their people that indeed there is a two-state solution that is possible, we will lose the window for a two-state solution," Rice told the Foreign Affairs Committee.

Rice's testimony was punctuated by Iraq war protesters, including one female who rushed Rice as she entered the room and waved her hands — painted red to look like blood — in front of the secretary's face. She shouted that Rice was a "war criminal" and should be taken to the Hague, a reference to international war tribunals.

Rice was stoic and proceeded with business as normal as the protester was immediately spirited from the room. Other protesters were likewise escorted away at the behest of committee chairman Tom Lantos, D-Calif.

These nuts are easy to spot. They're decked out in their goofy CODEPINK regalia.

Security should do a better job of policing them, with Tasers at the ready.

I can understand that the CODEPINK nuts have a right to attend hearings, but they don't have the right to get in people's faces. They don't have the right to disrupt proceedings.

Watch video of the protesters.

I wish I had been there.

When the loons were screeching at Rice, calling her a "war criminal," I would have yelled, "Tase them, Bro. Please, please, please, TASE THEM."

No, I wouldn't have done that. I'm not a loon. I show self-control and have self-respect and respect for others.

University of Florida Police Cleared of Wrongdoing in Use of Taser on Student

A report by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said the officers were justified when they used the Taser on Andrew Meyer.

Police said Meyer refused to stop questioning Sen. John Kerry at a campus event last month. The videotaped altercation and Meyer's cries of "Don't Tase me bro!" were played frequently on the Internet.

Two officers who were placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation were reinstated.
