I didn't think anyone could top the level of grandstanding that Ted Kennedy displayed while questioning John Roberts this morning during the Supreme Court confirmation hearings.
I was wrong.
Biden took it to new heights.
What an over the top, shameful performance!
Much like Kennedy, Biden wouldn't let Roberts answer his questions. Arlen Specter repeatedly had to ask the senators to allow him to respond.
It was clear that Biden didn't want to let Roberts speak. He wanted to just keep pummeling. Most likely, that's because Biden knows that he's an intellectual lightweight compared to Roberts.
Biden charged Roberts with providing misleading answers, which is amazing given the fact that Biden barely let him get a word in edgewise.
Overall, the Democrats are flailing away and behaving like hyperactive preschoolers. Tough questioning is one thing. A lack of civility in the process is quite another.
Roberts is maintaining his composure amidst the insanity.
By insanity, I mean the Dem senators. Certifiable.
