Herb Kohl Needs Help!

HELP!

Did you know that Herb Kohl needs volunteers to help him get reelected?

John Kerry is recruiting right now to help his colleague retain his seat in the Senate.

In an e-mail I received today, Kerry says:

There are only 46 days left until you and other Wisconsin voters go to the polls to make decisions that will shape your state, your country, and your world.

Before you give our candidates your vote, I'm hoping you'll give them your time.

I'm writing because Democrats in Wisconsin need you to frustrate Karl Rove's dream of turning Wisconsin red ... because Senator Herb Kohl needs your volunteer support in his reelection campaign ...

...Want to join the fight to improve education at all levels, make health care more affordable for all of Wisconsin's citizens, and create more good jobs for Wisconsin? Then please spend a few hours supporting Herb Kohl or helping the campaigns of Tammy Baldwin, Ron Kind, Gwen Moore, or Dave Obey.

...Want to make sure Republican scare tactics don't turn the promise of victory into the shock of defeat in these final weeks? Then sign up to volunteer with the Democratic Party of Wisconsin.

...Let's dig deep. Let's work our hearts out during these final 46 days of this campaign. And let's celebrate like there's no tomorrow when we bring our candidates home to victory on that first Tuesday in November.

Sincerely,

John Kerry

P.S. My political action committee, Keeping America's Promise, is dedicated to electing Democrats like Herb Kohl and Steve Kagen up and down the ticket in 2006. You can support our efforts to take back Congress and chart a new course for our country.

Yes, this is a form letter with the name of the state and the candidates inserted.

That makes it no less goofy.

HERB KOHL DOESN'T NEED ANY HELP WHATSOEVER TO GET REELECTED.

Robert Lorge is not threatening an upset.

The Republican Party of Wisconsin and the RNC conceded the election to Kohl months ago.

(Have I mentioned that ticks me off?)

This e-mail from Kerry reminds me that Kohl doesn't need any money or commercials or yard signs or volunteers. Nothing.

He is guaranteed another six years in the Senate without having to answer a single question or state a single position on an issue.

That's wrong. That's not democracy.
