Like 4-year-old Jasmine Owens who was shot and killed while playing outside, Donnicka was a completely innocent bystander.
Donnicka was at a girlfriend's house when a bullet struck her in the face.
She was lucky enough to survive.

As they continue to investigate the death of 4-year-old Jasmine Owens, police on Saturday reported another shooting of a child by a stray bullet.
Donnicka Jones, 13, was struck in the face about 2 a.m. by a bullet that can through the window at a girlfriend's house at N. 12th and W. Hadley Sts.
Police said a 19-year-old man was arguing in the street with another man at 2:10 a.m. when the suspect pulled out a gun and sprayed about 10 shots around the area.
The bullet passed through Donnicka's left cheek and remains lodged in tissue in the area of her neck because doctors were afraid that removing it might cause more damage, her mother, Angela Walker, said. Donnicka is scheduled for another medical examination on Monday.
What's the solution?
Should tax dollars be used to offer thugs a safe place where they can shoot each other without endangering innocent children?
Provide them with a nice, big bulletproof enclosure of some sort where they can be as violent and as deadly as they want to be. Anything to get them off the streets.
These thugs have zero respect for life. They don't deserve to roam freely.
I have no sympathy for them.
Whatever struggles they may have, whatever tough breaks life has dealt them, that does not give them license to threaten the public.
The thugs aren't victims.
Let's call them terrorists.
