An 18-year-old male student from Marshall High School is in Milwaukee police custody today for allegedly punching an educational assistant numerous times in the head and face.

Milwaukee Public Schools spokeswoman Roseann St. Aubin said police are at the school today investigating the details of what occurred about 1:05 p.m. yesterday at the school, 4141 N. 64th St.

"We're still trying to figure out what happened," she said.

Police spokeswoman Anne E. Schwartz reported this morning that the victim, 47, had been punched, but was unaware if the woman sought medical attention.
