Autopsy Concludes Murray Killed Himself

Autopsy results reveal that Matthew Murray died as the result of a shot that he himself fired.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) -- The man who killed four people at a church and missionary training center died of a self-inflicted shotgun wound, police said Tuesday.

Matthew Murray, 24, was struck multiple times by a security officer at New Life Church Sunday but died after firing a single shot at himself, the El Paso County Coroner's Office concluded after an autopsy.

I don't believe that Murray would have killed himself when he did unless Jeanne Assam was there to take him down.

Murray fired the fatal shot.

Is that some sort of victory for him? Does that make Assam less of a hero? Does that indicate that armed security guards aren't necessary?
